You’ll help deliver outstanding care, lead staff, ensure regulatory compliance. You will be required to have extensive knowledge of the following legislation: Children’s Act, Children’s homes Regulations, Ofsted Regulations (REG 40, 44 & 45).

The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of staff, ensuring they are supported and trained to an excellent standard to
    provide high-quality care and support to the children and young people living in the residential
    children’s home.
  • Engaging with children, setting examples and building excellent rapport to enable
    independence
  • Supporting with recruitment, ensuring safer recruitment processes are followed to a high
    standard
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare for OFSTED inspections
  • Develop care plans and oversee safeguarding procedures
  • Build strong relationships with external professionals and families
  • Drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children ensuring best practice

Person Specification:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Management Role within a Children’s residential care
    setting, with a proven track record of achieving and sustaining Outstanding or Good Ofsted
    ratings within children’s home previously (D)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards (E)
  • Previous OFSTED registration and strong understanding of care regulations, including MH &
    DOLS experience (E)
  • Knowledge of therapeutic care, safeguarding, and behaviour de-escalation (E)
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills (E)
  • Full UK Driving licence and ability to work on-call (E)

Work Location:
The location/work-base for this role may require you to work from multiple locations. We will discuss
this with you during the recruitment process.
