While Arborvitae primarily offers long-term placements, we can also accommodate emergency, or short-term crisis/respite placements when appropriate, based on thorough impact and matching assessments.

Our Ethos
The Arborvitae Care Family is not only dedicated to providing care and protection for looked after children in the UK; we are also deeply committed to our core belief that ‘every child matters’ and our motto, Dum vita est, spes est. We believe our support service to be one of a kind and positive; offering safe, secure and protected placements for children and young people aged 8-17 who are having difficulty finding a suitable placement. We collaborate closely with our commissioning partners and local authorities to ensure that each child receives an experience that is tailored to their specific needs, utilising the expertise and qualifications of our staff team.

Our Care
We pride ourselves on following a collaborative, trauma-informed approach to care. Our therapeutic model is evidence-based, focusing on attachment, regulation, and competency. All staff undergo extensive training to create a safe, secure, attuned, and psychologically informed environment that enables healing, growth, and an improved quality of life for the young people in our care.

- Integrated care with in-house therapeutic team throughout the company
- Restorative practice model throughout the company
- Prevent, Protect and Restore approach (PPR)
- Collaborative ethos
- Phased independence programme
- Clearcare information management system to offer the social workers real time access to records
